Cyst suspicion.

It's been a rough month. First symptoms were GI problems. Nausea, diarrhea, chills, shakes, rapid heartbeat. Went to dr and was referred to GI specialist for colonoscopy, endoscopy last mon. He was an awful man that had me in tears making me feel like I was wasting his time and it was all in my head. Even though I had a partial hysterectomy in dec, and a cyst removed from my left ovary and recovered like a champ and was back to work in 2 weeks. And a lengthy family history of every organ issue imaginable. Long story short, it's been over a month of constant nausea, diarrhea, 3 drs appts, 1 ER trip for severe lower left sided pain, specialist for scopes, and they are just now ordering an ultra sound. Should have it this week sometime. Still no results from scopes yet. Blood work keeps coming back fine as did stool samples. I didn't even know I had a cyst when I had my hysterectomy. But with the symptoms I'm having and also complaining to my dr of painful intercourse could this not be another cyst? Something has to give. Been off work for over 2 weeks. So uncomfortable with nausea, and complete lack of appetite. With the Internet it's easy to self diagnose and I have been searching possible ailments, but this sounds like the most reasonable. Don't you think?  I'm 38yrs old. I shoulda listened to my mom and insisted on full hysterectomy and been done with all this!  If it is cysts, take the ovaries! I'm done with them. Do not want to go though this ever again.

At least you have an answer but sorry you are now dealing with this! I wonder if it can be monitored for a bit to see if it shrinks versus having to go in for another surgery so soon after your last one. Good luck!

It has been confirmed. I have a 4 cm cyst on my left ovary. They never said anything about my right but now I'm having the same pain there. I go see my surgeon this week.

I developed severe diarrhea, nausea, and loss of appetite after my hysterectomy. But my ovaries were also removed. I was pretty ill for a long time and never did get a diagnosis. I oftentimes wonder if I had a hospital acquired infection of some sort. I did finally ask for stool testing 8 or 9 months post-op and it showed fat malabsorption but no "pathogens." The diarrhea VERY gradually improved but I still have occasional loose bowels. The nausea went away quicker but it did last for months (just cannot recall how long). My appetite has never fully recovered. But that is just as well because my metabolism has slowed considerably since the surgery and if I ate like I used to I would have gained a bit of weight.

Hope you get to the bottom of this soon! I know all too well how miserable it is.
