Cysts - help!

Im 19 years old, and found out september 2009 I had ovarian cysts. One 9x7cm on my right, and several on my left. I had been in and out of A&E with severe pain where I felt like I was actually dying and had an operation in Jan 2010 (4mths ago) via laparoscopy to remove them, they were actually in my fallopian tubes.. My consultant told me he had just 'drained' them and not removed them because of my age if he removed them obviously I wouldn't have a chance of concieving naturally in the future (With the massive 10% chance). 3 Months after the operation I was experiencing the same pain in the same place as when the cysts were there and I just had a gut feeling they'd returned. So last week I had an ultrasound and a transabdominal scan and the nurse revealed that yes, they were back. Two 3cm ones on the left, and a 7x6cm on the right.
My question is (while I'm waiting for an appointment through the post to see my gynaecologist) does anybody know what's going to happen now? :(

Will they operate again?
Is there anything I can take to shrink them?
Will they remove my tubes and freeze my eggs?

It could be alot worse I know there's women out there with more serious problems but I'm just pulling my hair out any advice would be great.

Thank you x

Hi and welcome to the forum.  It really stinks to have to deal with all of this at such an young age.  Has your doctor tried putting you on birth control pills to see if it helps you from getting cysts?  Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't .  With a cyst that is over 5cm, doctor usually opt to remove them.  I know that isn't what you wanted to hear and I'm so sorry.  Is it possible for you to seek an opinion from a gynecologist/oncologist?  They have 3 years more schooling than a regular OB/GYN, and they see these kinds of problems everyday.  That would be your best bet.  Good luck and please keep us informed on how you are doing.  You will find a lot of AWESOME women on here ready to support you and give you good advice.

Well i have cysts and fibroids as well. Dont listen to them when they say you wont be able to concieve naturally. They told me the same thing when i was 19 (when I first found out I had them) and I ended up pregnant. Anyway, if they can try to get them remove if possible. In your situation have to tried going to a doctor that specialize only in fibroids and cysts? Try doing that. See what they can do to shrink them. That would be the best route. Only  use surgery if you really and truly cant cope with it
