Frustrated, changing doctors
Well, after sensing a complete lack of urgency on my doctor's part, I have gotten a referral for a highly recommended gynecologic oncologist in my area. My first doctor initially said I'd have to have a laparotomy to remove the 17.5x11cm mucenous cystadenoma from my right ovary. Then she changed her mind and said she could it through laparoscopy. After talking to the nurse at my new doctor's office, it sounds like we're leaning toward a laparotomy AGAIN. I'm meeting with my new doc Friday, but this is driving me nuts! I'm going into my third week of trying to figure out what to do, and I just want this thing out of me so I can get back to normal life. Those of you with larger cysts, which procedure do you think is more likely, laparoscopy or laparotomy? Thanks, ladies. You're the best :)
