I just had a 9.5cm( turned out to be a a lot bigger, after dr got inside) dermoid removed on my left side, which also took my ovary and fallopian tube, and a 3.5 cm complex cyst( still waiting for pathology) removed from my right side. I got to keep my right ovary. this was all done laparoscopically with a da vinici robot.

I suggest taking a stool softener. Unfortunately i didn't take one until i was a week post up, now 9 days post op. the pain killers will back you up. and trying to deal with constipation with abdominal trauma is almost worse that the surgical gas pains. And move around. Getting up from a laying position is hard. but Once your up try to do things as you would normally. my back is killing me from walking hunched over and trying to compensate for my abdominal pain. I am 9 days out, still don't feel normal but i can take a stroll around target, just enjoy a nap once I'm hope.

i hope this helps! and i hope for your speedy recovery!

I'm sorry I didn't see your post earlier. Did they remove your ovary along with the cyst? If so, I hope surgery went well.
