Septated means characterized by internal walls/divisions (aka complex).
Adnexal is the region in the pelvis adjacent to the uterus which includes ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Biopsy would be premature at this point.
Usually you follow up with ultrasound in a few weeks or months.
If it persists, then you can get an MRI pelvis.
Thanks! That is useful information. I researched the "scarynet" and adnexal sound more difficult to diagnose. And I found nothing for women who are sans uterus and post menopause. Most info relates to teens or wome entering or in menopause.

I also just found out that the culdesac is also called the pouch of Douglas(!) and it is the area between the rectum and the uterus, behind the uterus.

That sounds a lot like my ultrasound report, and I have some of the same questions you have! I do know that adnexal just means next to or attached to, and septated means the same as complex, that is has two or more sections to it. My report also said no fluid in the cul-de-sac, which I believe is a good thing.
Can anyone else help us out here?
