Looking for ovarian cyst symptom info.

I don't remember when I kind of put all my symptoms together and started thinking maybe it is an ovarian cysts but here are the symptoms.
1. Pain during intercourse.  The last time I have had any was about a year ago though because dh was sent away for the military.  It happened about the last 3 times we did it.  Since that was over a year ago, there is no way to know if it would happen again or if whatever it was went away.  I really didn't think much of it, except that it hurt and I was ready for it to be over with.

2.  I get UTI like symptoms right before and up till my period starts.  It is pressure like I have to pee so bad and then almost nothing comes out and then also that I constantly feel like I have to go.  Right after my period was over it went away but the following cycle it started all over again.  I didn't have a fever.  There was no odor so I am not sure if it was a UTI and I was not treated for it.

3.  I have gotten this extremely sharp pain in my right side like the day before or the day that my period starts.  Both times I thought OMG I need to go to the ER but I waited long enough and the pain went away.  Since I am the only one here with my kids, I wanted to see how long it would last and not just rush to the hospital if I did't have to but I thought about it.

4.  I am almost alway nauseated now.  It started out where I would just take a few bites of food and feel full but now, weather I eat or not, I feel full and nauseated although I have never thrown up from it.

5.  I have also had severe low back pain on the right side during my period that hurts very bad if I try to bend over.  Just looking at anything on the floor and thinking I have to bend over to pick it up makes me scared of the pain that will happen.

Most of these symptoms started about 2 or 3 months ago.  They seem related to my cycle.  Since they went away the first time I didn't do anything about it.  When it happened this past month again, I decided to call for a pelvic exam.  My origional OBGYN left so I had to switch and I can't get an appointment with the new doctor until November 5th.

Now to my questions.

Does it sound like it might be an ovarian cyst?

Could it have ruptured and that was what the pain was in my side that was so bad or would I have had other symptoms if it ruptured?

If it was cysts, would the symptoms like the peeing often and the pain come and go like that?

I have read some of what the symptoms are and know that they coud all be something totally different, but I don't know if the fact that they come and go means it is not cysts even though I have constant nausea or full feeling.  I am not sure if I am bloated.  My belly is bigger but I figured I just gained weight from not exercising.  I am not sure how to tell what bloating is.

Oh and what happens if my period starts around the time I am supposed to go for the check up?  would that still do an internal exam or should I just reschedule?  That is about the time it should start again but I didn't want to wait any longer than I have to.

It is good to hear that symptoms are improving. Yes, if you have/had a cyst, it may be shrinking or had ruptured and the pain from the rupture is subsiding. If the symptoms are gone by Nov 21st then it would seem overkill to do an ultrasound. Good thing is that Nov 21st is not that far off. Let us know how it goes.

They canceled my appointment.  They said the doctor won't be in the office that day now.  The next time I could get an appointment with her is mid to late December so I took an appointment with someone else for November 21st.  I have some new questions now though.  I am not having all the symptoms that I was. Now instead of always feeling full after 2 bites, I can eat but I am often short of breath especially after I eat even one bite of anything.  The right side pain is not so severe anymore but it is constant.  My question is, now that the symptoms are not as bad, would they still do an U/S just to check and make sure everything is ok?  I am thinking that people have the cysts and don't even know it so maybe even though some of the symptoms are different now, maybe the cyst went away.  If November 21st comes around and the symptoms are gone, are they going to still check for one since I have had symptoms before?  I hate waiting and not knowing one way or the other.  I keep debating if I should just go to my regular doctor but I don't want her doing a pelvic exam.

Thanks.  So now I am hoping he doesn't start till after that day.  I am pretty certain it won't start before then and be overwith.  Can they do a regular ultrasound if it ends up being painful to do a vaginal one?  Since it hurt to have sex before, I am thinking it might.  I am guessing a vaginal one would give a better picture though.  November 5th can't get here soon enough for me.  My thinking is that if it is a cyst, it would always be there and always be in the same spot so the symptoms would stay constant until the cyst is removed and my pain is thankfully usually around my period so I wasn't sure.

Your symptoms could be from an ovarian cyst even if it did not rupture. I am not sure if they will do a vaginal ultrasound while you are on your period. You should call the office and check. Let us know what you find out. Hope things do not get worse in the interim.
