That really *****. I'm so sorry. I wish you all the best. I am probably going to have to make an appointment with a hip doctor next week. Will see what my PCP says. Oye. They fix one thing and you're lucky if other parts dont get broken in the process, I guess.
Thank you for your kind words. I went to an oncologist recommended by my gynecologist for consultation but the gyn did the surgery and he did not follow the oncologist's recommendation. :(
Keep us posted on your recovery.
Thank you for your response, old_before_my_time. I am relief to know that the pain in my hips will likely go away. I'm sorry to your organ was unnecessarily removed. That sounds awful. Were you able to get second and third opinions before surgery?
This was my first major surgery. My PCP encouraged me to get several opinions before several schools of OB GYN before my surgery. Turns out they all had the same opinion hence the only reason I followed through. But recovery has been a struggle.
The cutting of nerves and blood vessels or even surgical positioning can cause that. Hopefully, it is only temporary. I developed bursitis (inflammation of the bursa sac) in my hip after my organs were (unnecessarily) removed. I don't recall how long it lasted but it did eventually go away. I hope yours settles down soon. You are still early post-op.
