Ruputred Ovaran Cyst Cause Two Missed Periods?

I was supposed to get my period on Augest 17. I started spotting on and off for the next 3 days, no period ever showed up.  I had pms symptoms for the next three weeks, went to 2 different doctors, had 10 hpts and 1 blood test done all negative. Finally got an ultrasound done and they told me I had a cyst on my left ovary that had ruptured and there making another appt for 6 weeks to make sure it went away. Well thing is, I was suposed to get AF yesterday, and she hasnt shown up yet. For the second month in a row. I also have a good amount of pain in my left ovary as well as menstral cramping and nausea and headachs.. Everything that tells me i SHOULD be bleeding right now. But whenever i wipe there only ewcm?? very sticky! But no sign of pink or blood.. I dont know what to do. Im 95% sure im not pregnant.. ive had nothing to tell me otherwise... can a functional ovarian cyst cause me to miss 2 periods? Ive been getting my period for close to 12 years.. and have never even missed a period until now.. and ive had cysts before. Im just looking for advice.. for reasurence..

Yes the waiting is awful isnt it ? I too had a burst cyst on my left ovary and am getting the second scan results tomorrow
I have never missed a period in my life!!

Obviously I had no periods when pregnant and breastfeeding but that is as it should be.
The baby is so low down in the pelvis the first few weeks quite often it wont show on a scan and if they weren't looking for a baby they wouldn't have tried too hard to hear a heartbeat in that area ........If you still haven't had a period by your next scan just mention it jokingly and make sure she checks

Thanks, ya I would have assumed that if I was pregnant the ultrasound would have shown it already wouldnt it? This is just so crazy, im not new to ovarian cysts but I havent gotten one in almost 2 years and this is the first time ive ever missed a period.  Im trying so hard to not think about it buts its so dificult! Its been a month since I spotted through my period, a week since my ultrasound, 2 days since my period was suposed to start and 5 weeks till my next ultrasouns and 2 weeks till i start my second job! lol
Thank you though, I just suppose ill have to wait a little longer

Well I don't know if the cyst can cause you not to have a period but in 6 weeks you will have the definate answer when they do your scan as if you  are pregnant they will hear the baby heartbeat and may even be able to just about see it on the scan if it there.!!

most of the time the pregnancy tests are pretty reliable though not always   ....hope it all works out alright for you and the cysts clears up too.

Let us know how it goes when you get the results in six weeks just try to relax and not worry about it so much ....do things to take your mind off it ..even read a book or something.
