Was Wondering........

Hi
I had to cancel my holiday due to the large cyst which was 22 x 19 x 12cm at the beginning of August. I had a CT scan on the 19th the day after they phoned me to say they had my results and that my appointment would be the 9th. In the mean time I took a form from the travel insurance to the doctors to be filled in and when I picked it up said I had a large cyst and Hydronephrosis.
I've done some research on the net and know that it means that I'm getting a build up on urine in my kidneys, has anyone else suffered with this?

I had no idea I had a cyst until the doctor gave me an internal. I think if I didn't have IBS I would of picked up that something was wrong with me earlier, but it took for my periods to go irregular for me to relise it wasn't my IBS and that something was wrong.
I've not had any test's done with my urine they just seen from my scans that I had hydronephrosis, but I had an idea something wasn't right with my kidneys due to all pain I have in the kidney area.
I now have a small area on my tummy which has gone numb, my GP thinks this will be due to the cyst pressing against a nerve.

I can't believe something this size could be growing inside me without me knowing, when they told me the size I couldn't believe it.

I feel for your pain and hope your surgery gets scheduled soon!

I am having my first experience with ovarian cysts. Found a small one about 4 weeks ago via ultrasound, then had to get a CT scan done a week later which showed it doubled in size and then my left ovary also was starting to get tiny clusters. During this time, my white blood count in my urine has been elevated, my doctor says it due to an infection but i don't have symptoms.

During this process, could you feel your cyst from the outside? Also, with the urine issues you are having, did you have a high white blood count? i won't see a specialist until next week...I just don't feel right. It seems like my cysts grew just based on how i feel and i am so tired of being on antibiotics...

Again...praying for a safe/fast recovery, and thanks for any advice you have.

I am hoping that on the 9th they give me a date for surgery, I'm now finding it hard to cope with the pain that I am constantly in and have started vomiting. I'm the type of person who has a high pain freshold and will suffer in silence, but feel as though I can't cope much longer with the constant pain and now I've started with vomiting. My symptoms just seem to be getting worse and worse and its getting harder and harder for me to cope.
My other half say's if they don't give me a date on the 9th for surgery he's going to be saying something, I so hope they give me a date!

No, I never had that with any of my cysts.  Your cyst is very large and is putting pressure on your kidneys and other organs.   When is your surgery?   You need to ask your doctor what he thinks is causing the hydronephrosis.   I am surprised you are still waiting for surgery.   I sure hope you get some relief soon!

Take care,

Shelly
