stable cyst maligant ?

Hi everyone,

I sure would appreciate knowing if anyone has had a similar experience. I am 54, I believe in menopause and I had a 10 cm. endometrioma removed 10 years ago. I have a possible complex cyst on my remaining ovary, a negative uterine biopsy and a CA-125 of 128. Apparently, this cyst has remained unchanged for at least 2 years.

I think my question is, has anyone "watched & waited" a stable cyst only to later have it removed and find it was malignant?  I feel like it is another endometrioma and I have no symptoms really. I would appreciate anyones advice or experience.

Thank you,
the greatrobinski (I use that because there is another Robin with a similar history :)

You might have a bit more success with this question on the ovarian cancer forum.  Some of those ladies visit here but not that often.
