pain on opposite side after revoval of ovary and fallipion tube

Hi,
I had surgery on Feb 26, 2009 and seem to be recovering very well.   I had an 8" cyst that twisted around my right fallipion tube causing an ovarian torsion.  The doctor had to remove my right ovary and tube as a result.  I am experiencing pain in my left groin area when I try to get up or lie down, is this normal, since it was my right side that was removed?

It is not uncommon to get "referred pain".  Nerves are affected by surgery (or by pressure from cysts pre-surgery).  I would say it is normal.
