Pain help (ovarian cystadenoma and several cysts on left ovary)

hello again. i went back to the doctor because im expereinceing pain that is not being remedied by percocet. the scans i had a week or so ago showed that i had a cystadenoma and several cysts on my left ovary which was causing the pain iwas haing the spotting. i had another scan which showd that the tunor had grown significantly since last week and that there is more fluid free flowing in the cul-de-sac. i am scheduled to see a specialist next friday and set up a date for surgery. is there anything that i can do until then to temper the discomfort? please help if you can.. thanks

I had a hard time just getting more percocet for pain a week after my cyst removal/hysterectomy.  I would imagine they'll give you a hard time trying to get anything stronger.  Can you try a hot bath and soak for awhile?  I also used heat or cold packs depending on how bad the pain was.  Also, anti-inflammatories will help some of the irritation going on inside.  Maybe a trip to the ER and they can give you a shot of Demerol or something.

I used those heat packs that you buy for sore backs. Some can be stuck to your skin and some can't so thats something to consider when you are buying them. Those helped more than any pain pill for me. Also if your pain gets too bad don't be afraid to tell them it is an 11/10 and go into the office. I was stuck on my bathroom floor because my pain was so bad (with codine pills and heat packs) I had to go in for surgery that day instead of waiting 2 more weeks for my scheduled day.

I eventually bought one of those electric heat things to use when at home. I hope this helps!
