A decent answer please

how 'normal' or close to is it for a child of approx 9 to bite someone when they attack the childs mother? I ask because in the past i did this and something about it seems... well wrong or different to 'normal'. (i understand normal is a relatively loose term but you know) I have been diagnosed with P.T.S.D, OCD, (NOT ocPd) borderline personality disorder (which i think is bs and was just diagnosed cos i'm female as apposed to anti-social which tends to be diagnosed more in males.) and major clinical depression, though some people say that depression is part of ptsd anyway. So anyway how normal is it???or abnormal lol I also tend to 'bite' myself,my hands/arms mostly sometimes when alone, not hard or drawing blood but i don't think other people do this. If they do i haven't observed it.

this is lauri43 i am knew to this site but i have seen alot of normal 9 year olds deal with bulling at school and also deal with threats from other kids that they dont know how to deal with divert back to biteing them for protection hoping that they would be left alone after the first bite so i think it is just a normal line of defense for some kids because it works to protect them and keep other kids away from them that they dont want around

I agree totally. Finding a guy in a bar is a stupid thing to do, you get what you pay for so to speak, you know what I mean right lol... men are over rated anyway, think I'm better off without one for the moment :)
Getting out to do things can be a pain, people are annoying sometimes lol
Plus most things cost these days :(
I'm sure I will find something though. May I ask if you have personal experiance of trauma/mental illness? I ask cos I just wondering (if yes) what sort of things have proven useful for you?

Its better than meeting a guy say in a Bar, if you meet them where their interests lie that is a good way of seeing he has a life ...Bars and Pubs can be a meeting point later but I dont think its a place to go to actually find a good guy.  Focus on yourself ,life isnt just about finding a boy friend ,do things you like things that build up your self esteem ..j

My dog is good but a pain n my fish is awesome cos he can't really misbehave lol. He is stuck in his bowl and has no choice but to listen to me :p
Don't worry that's what I so with pigs, just stay away soon as I know what they're like. I guess there must be at least one decent guy out there somewhere, hope I find him someday :) lol

yeah i know but without being overly negative just for the sake of i seem to get more than my share of bad at times. I even had a guy say some dirty **** to me over xmas when he didn't even know me. just some guy that came over to my mums house. This happens a fair bit and it is annoying, as soon as i disagree with the average person or differ from them visually ect they get nasty. Its like I threaten their sense of self or security in their own opinions or something i dont know. I have been quite isolated of late and not done much. I have a dog and a fish. I do write a fair bit so thats kind of a hobby/poss work direction. And that is a good thing. I love movies and books cos they don't involve real interaction and its annoyances lol. There are good things but when i am forced to deal with people i usually run into the bad as well :( It can only make me stronger though :) .. aw thanks, I glad I found this site too and people more like me who get it :)

makes sense i guess. thanks.. I am in my 20's. I have had limited councelling and been to a few groups but they kinda bored me. Most times I have felt like they don't relly give a toss about things lol.that its just a job and there is no real connection or care whether they get through or not but maybe its me... My life ends up being negative a lot lol. isolation ect which apparently is common with ptsd sufferers as their friends ect can't be bothered with them. :( stupid heads lol

No you are not boring me to tears, and it is good to get a full picture to be able to respond, you did well its not easy to recall  childhood trauma...as thats what I think you suffered, and you are trying to move past it.I am going to suggest that some therapy is called for here I dont know if you have had any , how old are you, I have heard from experts that cognitve therapy will help you recall .Yopur original question was , is it normal for a child of 9 to bite, my answer is that in these circumsatnaces yes it was, you wre trying to protect your Mom and you acted out of instinct  now whether it had been biting, hitting, kicking you wre trying to get this man away from your mother and it took a lot of guts to do, what you are still feeling bad about is the Physical force of it all. As i said I believe some expert advise will help you, and I also think that if you focus on the positive side of your life and not let your thoughts dwell on what happened to you, you will feel better ,very often it is our thoughts that make us feel bad. ,when you find yourself going back to that night, tell yourself I am not going there , and focus on other postive things ..Good luck you will be okay

I have stopped cutting as i don't want to hurt myself, i just want to see blood. no blood from steak is not same in this frame of mind as it is not the same consistancy.. sometimes i eat raw steak though. I feel i need the protein plus sometimes it tastes better. I eat steak either bloody or crispy, do not like in between much. This comes with problems though as i must make sure it is sanitary/high quality as human processes are often dirty as are humans themselves. I shudder to thinnk who has handled my meal before it has reached me. I am going on again, things sometimes come to memory that seem relative though even if i prob boring u to tears lol

Well some of the details are kind of blurry, some sharp.... yes...well i don't know if the intention was out of concern for her or something to do with me/whats mine?? I woke to hear sort of sobbing/general sounds that alert one to distress/crying ect. got up,ended up in mothers room. I had been sleeping in lounge right near this room. Saw guy,her boyfriend, straddling her, clothes on,mum sad. He had her wrists, they were in the air. she sobbed and stuff. I guess i ran at him, started pounding on his shoulder or wherever and sayinng leave my mum alone ect. now gets more sketchy, the bits i can remember, he slapped me, LAUGHED in my face (a big no no) and I bit his finger.(not necessarily in that order.) Lmfao. (I have always looked on this aspect secretly proudly. My teeth are my favorite and first weapon and i hold them in high regard.)
Well then the jerk got pissed and got up,probably the shock of the action had affected him? so he chases me,mum chases him. He stepped on my friend who had been sleeping over and chased me down the stairs. I pretty sure he was gonna kill me by strangulation/beat down if he got me,out of sheer anger ect. So i run through house get to toilet which was separate from bathroom. Am SCREAMING, and screaming and screaming and screaming ect. I have no idea how long i screamed for,who got me from toilet or anything for at least (at a guess) a few months after this, maybe longer... I do know that i always had heaps of behaviour issues and a mother who was uncapable/unwilling enough to try to fix them,if they could be??.. I was quite cheeky and hyper, poss got worse after this, not sure, can't ask family most stuff cos they don't care...i know i have tried,my tactics for extracting TRUTHFUL info on my childhood run just shy of physical torture lol......I also saw parts of what happened that i wasn't ment to be able to see, and yes i have confirmed the details, though a rigorus process as my source, mum is some what unreliable (this woman once told me my father was not my father and i was actually the child of some guy from next door in a previous place we liveds kid cos she was screwing round on my dad.).... I don't feel guilt the peice of deserved it in fact i'd bite him again. best way to describe is i 'feel' at ease or comfortable/relaxed when i bite. relaxation can be difficult for me cos of ptsd.....that seems to be all relevant info i can/am willing to give at this point in time...oh wait, i also used to cut, have scars, got this idea from god knows where, think my first use of this was against mother, unsure if on purpose or just happen. my recent reasons for this became to see the blood,i like blood. I wrote a letter to my mother in blood once when i was younger, don't think i gave it to her though.not sure. In contrast i hate medical things and used to go white in heath class,strange.. Sorry to go on but as these things come back to me and could be useful i thought why not mention them too.
