After surgery pain

My right ribs were broken a year ago for a surgery.  My incision has healed fine but I seem to have a floating rib that moves around and causes me pain.  Can Anything be done???

Hi Gurk,

Please excuse my tardy response. Are you still monitoring our site? If so please let me know and I'll discuss this with you today.

I do have a question for you. We all have two "floating ribs" - more correctly  our last two ribs can be referred to as "floating" as it does not attach to the sternum (breast bone) or to another rib.  This is normal - pain is not. Is your rib pain the ribs that were broken?

I'll look forward to hearing more from you.

Take Care,
~Tuck
