Bad idea?

I had a dislocated metacarpel (the one on my pinky finger) my orthopedic did surgery on the 24th of November. Pins are to be taken out on the 26th of December and a new cast put on then. I want to cut my cast off and just use a soft cast it is unsightly and uncomfortable. Sounds ridiculous but I wonder if it just might work...

Bad idea, my husband cut off his cast after breaking his hand on the football team. It's still messed up over 20 yrs later

yes bad idea i chrushed my hamate in 98 and i took the cast off and my hand was never the same bad idea ok :)
