CA Medical Marijuana / Pain Contract?

Hello my Fellow Pain Sufferers:

Does anyone have a Pain Doctor who allows them to use medical marijuana?  California is one of the states where it is legal, however my Pain Doctor will drop me if I test positive for marijuana (even with a prescription and license for marijuana).  Marijuana helps with my insomnia, nausea and pain. Taking a natural herb seems healthier than Norco and strong sleep meds, right?

Thanks!

Hi SuperSunny,

First, I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. I want to let you know that there are NO Doctors on this Forum, only CP  {Chronic Pain}  Patients that help each other with our OWN expertise and experiences that we have developed through our OWN CP Issues.

I'm sorry that you are having trouble finding a PM {Pain Management} Doctor that meets your needs.

On MH {MedHelp} we DON'T RECOMMEND Doctor's as one that works for me MIGHT not be a good fit for you.  You should go on the internet and Google for PM Doctors in your area that meet your criteria.  Then call each of them and ASK them about the Medical Marijuana.  That's the ONLY way that you will find out.  It's a shame that more of them won't make allowances for the use of Medical Marijuana.

I wish you the VERY best of luck..............Sherry

I'm in San Diego but I don't know if my PM would let me get a medical card while under their care. I've never asked. Although if nothing changes soon than I am going to drop out of PM and get my medical card. You will probably have to call around to find one and it may take a while.
