Hi you have gotten some excellent advice here.
I want to add that if I am right in assuming your taking three to five at one time that is entirely too much Tylenol! That's 500mg per tablet making it 2500 mg for five that your taking at a time.
PLEASE be honest with your doctor so that he/she knows your taking this many at once so you can be treated with something without all the Tylenol your consuming. It is very dangerous at the level your taking it daily. How many are you taking in one days time? If I read your post right you have taken the whole months worth in a weeks time and that has me very concerned for a couple reasons. One being your taking entirely too much Tylenol and two your abusing them if your taking them at the level of taking the whole months worth in a week and when the doctor finds this out he may be concerned that your using him to abuse the medications.
Now do NOT get me wrong, you obviously have pain issues and need pain control but your going about it the wrong way and I do not want you to lose your doctor because then you have major problems on top of everything else. There are much better ways to control and manage your pain than the way your doing it now.
Let me know what I can do if anything to assist you and I will try and help if I can:)

WELL, YOU ARE IN A SCARY SPOT RIGHT NOW.  I KINDA WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING YOU ARE GOING THROUGH.  I STARTED TAKING 1 EXTRA PILL DURING THE NIGHT FOR MY PAIN CAUSE IT WAS WAKING ME UP AND THAT WAS GONNA MAKE ME RUN SHORT.  SO I WAS REALLY SCARED LIKE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW AND THINKING ABOUT THE WITHDRAWLS AND THE PAIN WAS TERRIBLE AND SCARY.  I CALLED MY DOCTOR AND SPOKE WITH HIM AND TOLD HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND WHY I DID WHAT I DID AND HE GAVE ME A SCRIPT FOR ENOUGH PILLS TO LAST ME UNTIL MY APPT AND THAN HE WILL UP MY AMOUNT OF PILLS SO I HAVE ENOUGH TO LAST THE ENTIRE MONTH.  ALSO, IF YOU HAVE BEEN TAKING THE PILLS FOR THAT LONG, YOU HAVE OBVIOUSLY BUILT UP A TOLERANCE TO THEM.  IF YOU DO HAVE A LAGITAMATE REASON FOR TAKING THEM AND YOUR DOCTOR KNOWS YOUR REASON THAN YOU ARE GONNA HAVE TO HAVE AN HONEST HEART TO HEART WITH YOUR DOCTOR AND LET HIM KNOW THE REASON WHY YOU HAVE BEEN TAKING SO MANY OF THEM AND WORK WITH HIM OR ASK HIM TO REFER YOU TO A PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINIC.  I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST AND HOPE YOU KEEP US UPDATED ON WHAT HAPPENS.  OH, I ALMOST FORGOT, FOR THE WITHDRAWLS, IF THEY GET TO BAD, THAN YOU ARE DEFINATELY GONNA HAVE TO TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR, CALL AND GET AN APPT AND TELL HIM THAT YOU ARE HAVING WITHDRAWLS AND HE CAN AND WILL HELP YOU.  IF YOU WANT TO STOP THE MEDS ALTOGETHER THAN BE HONEST WITH HIM AND HE WILL HELP YOU.  DONT LET IT GET TO BAD TO WHERE YOU ARE JUST REALLY SICK, GET AN APPT TO SEE HIM OR SOMEONE IN HIS CLINIC IF HE DOES NOT HAVE AN APPT RIGHT AWAY AND ASK THEM FOR HELP.  IF YOU ARE HONEST WITH THE DOC THAN THEY WILL HELP YOU.  LIKE I SAID, LET US KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AND IF YOU NEED TO CHAT/VENT OR CANT SLEEP OR JUST WANNA CHAT, JUMP ON LINE......................MONTANAGURL IF FREEZING AND IN A SNOW BANK :-)

Hello CBS,

I'm guessing this was moved from the Substance Abuse Forum to the Pain Management Forum based on the Ella's comment that in part says, "...most everyone here is trying to quit the drugs..."

You apparently have pain however most CP sufferers that have true pain do not get high on their opiates. 30 to 60 mg's of hydrocodone is considered an acceptable dosage (60 on the high end) for pain control however over that is high.

If you have pain as I understand you do than you need to discuss pain management with your physician with the use of non-narcotic medications. Or possibly you have a loved on that could hand them out to you as prescribed.

How you get your tolerance down must be done under the supervision of your physician. It will require being off all narcotics for a period of time. I have heard 3 weeks and I have heard 3 months.

Others will post with their comments and suggestions. Good luck to you and please take care. Feel free to chat with us or ask additional questions. Tuck

That's a tough one,  most everyone here is trying to quit the drugs and I can only reccomend the Thomas Recipe for the withdrawl symptoms.  You aren't trying to quit but to get by till your next one fills.   The clonidine really helps but that is prescribed by Dr. and is a blood pressure med that helps keep the pressure stable during withdrawl.  It really helped me but if you have blood pressure issues them you prob won't be prescribed them.  Also the zanax, and I think that;s a bad thing but perhaps tranzene.  I have just heard too many bad things about zanax.    I don't know. perhaps others will know how to help you, you should wean-down off them before you're out completly.
Did you ever think of nerve-pain issues?  Sometimes nerve pain is a big problem esp after so many surgeries.
