Epedural Steroids Injections

In Febuary 2008 I received Epedural Steriods Injection in my neck to stop pain in my neck.  About a month later my hands started tingling and my rist started to hurt in bent too long.  Then my thomb started poping, I let my doctor know about all my symtems and she put me on a musle relaxer for my musle spasms.  I was also put on lyrica for my fibromialga. My hands finally stopped tingling when I slept on a heating pad. In the meanwhile my thomb continued to pop then hurt now it's stiff.  My fore finger is starting to do the same. Bascially now I've got arthristis.
My question is: Did the Epedural Steriods Injection cause me to have arthriis?

I can't take anti-inflammatory drugs. My ankles hurt when I wake up in the morning

epidural steroid injection side effects
In addition to risks from the injection, there are also potential side effects from the steroid medication itself. These tend to be rare and much less prevalent than the side effects from oral steroids. Nonetheless, reported side effects from epidural steroid injections include:

Localized increase in pain

Non-positional headaches resolving within 24 hours

Facial flushing

Anxiety

Sleeplessness

Fever the night of injection

High blood sugar

A transient decrease in immunity because of the suppressive effect of the steroid

Stomach ulcers

Severe arthritis

Cataracts

Epiural steroid injections have also been implicated as one of the causes of the problem I have, which is adhesive arachnoiditis.  AA most often shows up between one and six months after the injection, and tingling is one of the initial symptoms.  It is visible on MRI, but it shows up best on MRI with contrast if that is what the problem is.  Since it has been discovered that epidural steroid injections are so prone to causing adhesive arachnoiditis, I would not rule it out as a possible diagnosis.  A neurologist would be able to tell you for sure.
