HELP PLEASE , FAIL DRUG TEST

I am in a wheelchair have awful Chronic Pain , Well I started a new doctor been 4 times in 2 half months , He drug tested me 3 times , This last one he did Feb 21 he said I failed it for morphine when I went back to him yesterday  ,  My doctor saying I failed drug test for morphine I use to be on morphine for 2 years then was switched to  Duliuid for 2 weeks that has been 50 days only took them for a week because I got bad headackes . When I went back to him he switched me to oxycontin 30mg . I am trying to figure out how I could failed this test because I had not took no morphine in over a month . It like my word against that test he done a swab in the mouth . I am worried sick this is on my record now have never failed drug test in 14 years till I started going to him . I heard you could take meds over the counter and you could fail the only thing I have took was a zantac for my stomach , B12 , , He had me on Bacfloen , Valium , Percert also that all I have took besides oxycontin .. My mouth dropped open when he told me that I failed it had me in tears . I am not in good heath also I don't drink much water or do I go to the bathroom much I don't know thought that could be some of the reasons why I failed it . Can someone please help me he says if I fail again he kick me out .

, But listen to this I go back today and he says I failed the drug test again , When he first come in he said it was for morphine there No Way , No Way , I asked to see the test he went got it and he started reading it and said well it looks like it about gone , Then he says u got hydrodone in your system there No Way Again , I am almost in tears with this , Then he says it was in my system in Feb and in March which I never took nothing except what this doctor gives me plus he counts my meds they are all there also. Why did he just bring the Hydrodone up not before plus even in Feb . He was always saying it was morphine , I don't get it . This is on my record something I did Not Do .... He says if anything comes up next month he cutting me off ... When he comes in my room he never brings a file with him are no tape record either never seen a doctor don't have a way to write down what you talk to him about . Thanks so much for any Help !!!!!

I was told my drug test by urine sample had tested positive for heroin. I told the doc i never took anything illegal. he treated me very badly it was degrading. On my way out I asked for a copy of the test to bring to my other doctor to try to find out what was going on. Turned out it wasn't my test it had someone else's name on it. Weird bad thing is he apologized profusely, and I said that's OK your only as good as your support, he was very mean to me from that day on.

Dilaudid and morphine are similar medications -- which your doctor should well know, especially if he's prescribing it.

Could you have had a trace of dilaudid in your system?

There can be all kinds of reasons for a failed drug test.  It sounds like from what you've said that you've been compliant with your medication regimen and you've met all of the requirements for your pain management doc.  I would recommend sitting down with your doc and asking to be re-tested.  You could also offer to bring in your meds for a med count.  Some docs do that anyway, and that may be something for the doc to see that you're not abusing your meds.

Hopefully your doc will be open minded and listen to what you have to say.  As long as you're taking your meds as prescribed and not abusing them, or taking meds that aren't prescribed to you, then there's no reason this can't be resolved.  It just depends on how forgiving the doc is.  Pain management docs carry a lot of responsibility prescribing high doses of very potent pain meds, so I can see how there would be little room for error, however, I am a firm believer that a person with a great track record should be given the opportunity to be retested.
