Hello My Dear MedHelp Members
don't usually use the forum for anything but medical purposes as it is intended.....however I have been gone so long that I wanted to update you all.
As you may recall we were preparing to spend our winter in FL, getting our home ready and packing and cleaning left me exhausted and busy by itself. However we also had numerous deaths of close friends and family. So my time was very limited. We were finally on the road eleven days ago.
Our first rental was a nightmare of a bust. The owner was at least kind enough to let us out of the lease when we expressed concern over the electrical wiring. Luckily the rental we weren't suppose to be in until January was open. So we drove seven hours to Mexico Beach, FL. We are now on the beach in a duplex with my best friend and her husband in the other side of it. However we weren't able to obtain Internet until early this evening.
My SIJD pain is high. I think pain and exhaustion is just a part of my being...though now the worse should be over as we make this cute little duplex our home. This is as close to paradise as I have ever been. The beach is powder white sand just steps from our front door. The sunsets are spectacular. Mexico Beach is a small, quaint and quite beach town just twenty miles from Panama City Beach in the panhandle of Florida. The residents are some of the nicest I have ever met. I cannot express in words the serenity and peace that I (and my husband) feel here. It has exceeded our dreams and expectations.
So I am back and should be here everyday. I've missed each and everyone of you horribly and cannot wait to get back up to speed. I know it will take me several days. I hope you are all doing better then when we last chatted. You have all been in my thoughts and prayers. And thank you, you've done a wonderful job without me. You are all so dear!! :o)

EVERYONE on MH are VERY happy that you are back on MH also. BUT so sad that you haven't been able to locate a DO that does manipulations for your pelvic girdle.
I'm VERY excited for you that you have FINALLY made it to PARADISE!!!! How wonderful that your dreams have come true. Now ALL you have to do is to sit back and ENJOY and LIVE your DREAMS!!!!!

You're right Kat. I too believe that everything happens for a reason. One door never closes that another opens. And usually that "opening" is better then anything we could have imagined.
It's so great to be back on MH. I am still struggling with my pain levels. I no longer have a D.O. that does manipulations to keep my pelvic girdle, SIJs and such in alignment. My "hunt" in on...but so far no luck!!
However this beautiful warm setting makes it a bit more bearable. I am in paradise!

Good to see you are settled! You've certainly been missed around here! Sounds like your surroundings are wonderful and I'm envious of the warm weather! That is so nice for pain levels. I hope you can find a wonderful doctor soon...I believe that everything happens for a reason and have no doubt that there is a wonderful care-taker out there waiting to take over your treatment! Welcome back!

Now the hunt is on for a good physician. Oh how I dread that!! But I desperately need to consult a D.O. that will perform OMT. My SIJ and pelvic girdle is cryingout for alignment!

I'm so happy you're back. You have been through the ringer and I hope your pain gets under control soon. Have you set up your pain doctor yet? Hopefully the beautiful weather will help your pain.
I'm not that familiar with Florida. I've only been to Orlando and Tampa (five times!) with the kids, but I loved it. My dream is to semi-retire to Florida when my kids are grown. I have a friend in Vero Beach and have heard about a lot of other parts but never heard of Mexico Beach. I'll definitely have to research it a bit as it sounds perfect! (And I am very partial to Mexico. I've been there several times but had the trip of a lifetime last January.)

I'm so happy for you! I hope that your pain eases in our beautiful weather..Mexico Beach is probably 1hr, 20 minutes from here and it truly is GORGEOUS. We Floridians tend to be welcoming people, so I hope your stay is as pleasant as I anticipate it to be! ;)
I'm sure the weather will be a whole lot better for your pain than the bitter cold up north! Although you did manage to come down here just in time for a whammy of a winter rainstorm...hope it didn't hit you guys too hard down there!

I don't know you kind person but have read many of your post.I wish you Bright Blessings while you and DH are enjoying those 'ruff winter sunsets'..I'll think of you as we put wood/coal in the Buck Stove as the snow falls on and on and on............ENJOY
