Those sound like migraines to me: start keeping a food diary to see if you can find the triggers and if you eat or drink anything with any artificial sweetener-- cut it out as artificial sweetener is one of the main causes of migraines.
My triggers are all artificial sweeteners, gluten (wheat, barley, rye and any other relative of wheat), certain nuts, high fructose corn syrup, any dairy, sulftates-- especially sodium laural sulfates-- which is in a lot of meds and supplements, I limit my caffeine intake, and I am also being careful with soy.

I hope this helps,
