I have been having mild abdominal pains around my right hip bone, flank and sometimes groin area for a few months now. The pain feels very similar to muscle soreness, but I can feel the pain even more when I press or squeeze the area around the top of my right hip bone. The pain comes and goes, and I think may be related to a build up of stool, as I may wait days before having a bowel movement and the pain starts to develop, and it gradually eases after a few bowel movements. It could also be aggravated by exercise, as 2 weeks ago I done a lot of walking and it was at its worse then, but after a week it completely went. It has now however come and started to go again but not as bad as before.
My stools vary from light to dark and hard to loose, but generally look fairly normal (no blood). My diet is not great at the moment, I eat a lot of fatty foods and white bread.
I am a 19 year old male by the way.
Any ideas of what this could be? It is not 'severe', but it is annoying as once it has gone it seems it has gone for good but then it comes back and its always around the same area.
A while back I did have an anal fissure and mild hemorrhoids which lasted about 2 - 3 months. Could this be related?
