It's Friday!

Hey guys just wanted to wish everyone a happy Friday and weekend. I'm getting my last injection and then taking a week off of work for my first vacation ever! We are just going to Disneyland and the San Diego county fair but this is the first time I've taken a week off of work. So I'm really excited.

I hope everyone is doing great and having a pain free day, or as pain free as possible. :)

When we lived in Florida when I was a kid, my mom worked there so we went to there like every 2 weeks! I loved it and looked forward to our trips. I hope you have a great time and I hope your pain levels stay down so you can enjoy your visit!

Oh god I heard the Harry Potter thing at Universal was crazy. 6 hour lines to get in and 3 hour lines to go into some of the shops. I would never wait in a line that long no matter how much I love Harry Potter, and I do!

Here in FL I've lived within 2.5 hours of Disney World for years.  I've probably been over 15 times, but I still love going.  I wanted to bring the kids before we leave FL, but with it being tourist season, and me being pregnant and in pain, I don't know if I could make it though the ridiculously hot day.
The new Harry Potter thing just opened up at Universal, though, and I want to go SO bad.  I've never been to Universal, either, so that would be neat.  Only I know I can't ride any fast rides.

I don't want you to think that I can't add (or maybe I can't - LOL) but it was 45 Years ago, NOT 55 Years ago.  :)

Also, would you  PLEASE ride the Carousel for me JUST once?

I'll be there with you in spirit...Sherry

That's so awesome. We both love Disneyland so much and go as much as we can. We live about an hour away so we can't go every weekend, but we try to go at least once a month or every other month.

They have the old ticket books on display in the gallery. I love learning about Disney history.

I'll be sure to post about how it went with the walking and standing all day. Hopefully good.

I'm so happy for you!!

I look forward to hearing an update when you get back about how much fun you had and that you were able to STAND UP in line without hurting and didn't have to LEAN over the rails to hold yourself up!!!

I meant to tell you that when Ronnie, my first husband,( we were divorced after 15 years and have ALWAYS remained Good Friends, I'm very fortunate) were married we lived in Covina, CA the first year before moving back to Tulsa, OK. This was in 1965. Back then Disney sold the ticket books. They had tickets that they designated as A, B, C, D, E. The E tickets were for the BIG RIDES and the A The D and E tickets first. :)

We didn't have a lot of money as we were just 19 and 21 years old (I was 19) but on the weekends (at lest 3 times a month) we would go to Disneyland and just walk around. We would take some snadwiches with us and you could get in the Gate for $1.00 each!!! Don't you wish that was the way it was today!!! We'd take our left over "A" Tickets and go and have a ball ALL day long. That was 55 years ago this summer!!

Those are the things that make life WONDERFUL , these kinds of MEMORIES.  I want you to start to have THOSE kind of MEMORIES where you remember the FUN you had at Disney instead of the kind where you remembered ONLY leaning over the rails holding yourself up in pain!!

SOOO, this weekend I want you to begin those WONDERFUL memories that you all will remember 55 years from now!!!

Go and Have a Ball....Sherry
