Joint pain and anxiety. 28 year old and worried about RA

Hello, I am happy to have found this forum.

Here is my odd story:

I had a quadriceps injury from soccer that didn't heal for 2 months, so the PCP decided to do an x-ray.
It came back showing slight narrowing of the KNEE, and the doctor was kind enough to put "arthritis" in big letters on the report.

I freaked out despite having NO KNEE PAIN at the time. I started limping and probably causing more strain on it than I was while limping due to the quadriceps pain.

Suddenly, my knee started hurting (the same day I read the report!)

The more I read online, the more it started bugging me. It was not sharp pain, but felt a little swollen and stingy.
After reading about RA, I also started feeling pain in other joints.

The MRI came back showing bone marrow edema, Plica syndrome, joint effusion. Basically that the swelling was true.

Fortunately, the PCP and a specialist both said that the slight narrowing the joint was regular wear and tear from an athlete and that it was so little that it is nothing to worry about. The PCP said she put "arthritis" on my report to explain that it will turn into arthritis as I age, and that I should not stop playing sports after all.

I was sent on Meloxicam and low impact for 3 weeks, but I am still having my knee, fingers etc bothering me.

I dont know if my mind is so powerful that it can dictate the pain in my joints. I really hope that the knee issue is due to limping and overexerting the knee, and that the joint pain is due to the anxiety that this situation has caused. I feel great in my overall health except from this. And when I dont think about it, say while talking to a friend, I feel NOTHING at all.

Any experiences or tips would be very helpful. Sorry for the long post, I just felt like I had to let it all out...
