Lumbar Facet block and now Burning Nerves

I'm 28 years old and I had an facet block injection done on my L4-L5, L5-S1 and it did not work, now my dr want to burn the nerves as a last resort before a fusion to be done. will this help to prevent a fusion or am I just wasting time with the burning of nerves? I'm walking with this pain from little and can't do my daily activities as normal.

The nerve burning can work to ease the pain for a time.. some get a few months , others up to a year, but it can be repeated if it helps.
Spine surgery doesn’t typically relieve pain, and isn’t meant to. Spine surgery is done to correct a mechanical problem, so if I were you, I would try the nerve ablation procedure first..
