Lump in armpit

I have had a lump in my armpit for a month. I have had one round of antibiotics and a CT scan that showed a swollen lymph node in the breast tissue. Should I be worried?

I have an appointment with a surgeon next week...

I had a mammogram and they think it is a swollen lymp node. I have to have another one in 3 months.

The mammogram and the ultrasound it tomorrow. Then it's back to the sergon to decide if she is gonna do a biopsy and remove the lump. She said she was not concerned about the lump at all, but the mass in my breast made her want to have the mammogram. So we shall see....

Hi and sorry you have the swollen lymph node. Have you had a mammogram lately? I hope so and hope it is negative. Any lumps in the breast? That is what I would worry about first. Then sometimes a swollen lymph node is just that you are fighting something but under the arm is more scary. I did have one in response to an allergy. So, if it is an infection I wouldn't worry it will go away in a month or so. I am worried about one I have had under my chin for 3 months. My doctor said I have an ear infection and I had a bad tooth. I am still worried though as it hasn't gone down.
good luck
