Morphine Pump Management

My sister underwent surgery a few months back and had a morphine pump inserted internally. She is 55yrs old and thinking of trying to move to Colorado from California (where the surgery was performed) and we are trying to locate a physician within the Boulder/Longmont area that can refill the pump when needed.

Hi:

You should contact the Physician who installed the pump and have him or her locate a Doctor who can help. If you ask, I'm sure that your clinic has providers that they can contact. You can even have you Doctors office make some calls on your behalf.

You last resort would be to google "Pain Management" in the area that your moving to and make some calls regarding the refill of the pump. Have the information before you make the move. I feel that it is very important.

Please take care and good luck.

Hi,
I do not live in the Colorado area though you may get some responses from members who are from that area.
Have your sister ask her current doctor if he/she can recommend a doctor. Also you can try the hospitals in that area as most have MD referral lines.
