Morphine er vs Hysingla er

I am on 15 mg morphine er every12 hours for 2 years and it does not help like it use to.My doctor said we could go on Hysingla ER for a few months than back on the morphine. The decision to do anything is up to me but I am very hesitate because I never heard of this drug,is it going to stop any withdrawals and is it even good for pain.I am old school and prefer old school narcotics lol

Hyslinga is extended release hydrocodone. If vicodin was an effective opiate for you previously, changing over to Hyslinga may work well for you.
There are dosage adjustments made for cross tolerance when switching from one opiate to another, so there should be little to no issues regarding withdrawal.
Switching to a different opiate simply replaces one for another, in Hope's of better effectiveness and reducing the need to increase doses as fast as staying on the same opiate for years often causes.
