Hello all,
I am a 21 year old male with chronic neck, back, and arm pain. I have been taking 10/325 Norco 4x per day as well as Adderall, Celexa, Lisinopril, and Topamax. Today, I went to the doctor to have my prescriptions refilled, and I was administered a urine drug screen. I didn't think anything of it until the doctor came back in and told me that my results were COMPLETELY negative for all medications, and that I was going to be discharged. I am FURIOUS!!! The doctor basically told me that she was sorry, but if I am not taking my meds, they cannot be certain where they are going. The most upsetting part is that I HAVE been taking all of my meds. I have no idea why I would test negative. Even my other meds were not present. She refused to give me my Adderall, Norco, and Topamax prescriptions, and I am already started to hurt horribly and getting a migraine! I don't know what to do, and I cannot understand why this has happened. I have heard from a few friends that, once the discharge officially happens, she will be required to give me a one month supply of all of my current medications. Is this actually true? If so, I can begin looking for a new doctor immediately, and try to make my last month of medication last as long as possible. I am also worried that this will remain in my record to a new physician, and make it basically seem to them as if my current doctor is calling me a "pill pusher". I am currently banking on getting at least my last month of prescriptions and hoping to find a new physician before they run out. I am currently preparing for my graduate school audition(I'm a music student) and there is absolutely no way that I can concentrate on my music being both in excruciating pain and not be able to concentrate effectively. Any help on this would be VERY appreciated!
Thank you!
