The best way is to look online or the phone book and call around. You can try asking your surgeon he may know of one too.
How are you doing?
I am a Nursing Student at Marquette and my Dad experienced a thoracotomy 8 months ago. He is still experiencing extreme pain about 6 inches above the incision site at about his mid scapula (shoulder blade). He has very little muscle mass on his R. side which is the side he had surgery on. Because of this his scapula is protruding. My advice to those of you that may be experiencing what my Dad is (ie. lack of muscle mass) is to work out and do stretches especially on the side that is effected. You will experience pain and/or discomfort for quite some time, but you are all blessed to be here in this world and obviously, you are not alone by looking at all of the posts. God Bless. Shell
you should ask your Primary Care Dr. for a referral to a PM Dr.
Most PM Dr require a referral.
