Hi, everybody.  I've been posting a lot today..hope you don't mind...I'm a bit wound up.  The reason is that tomorrow (1-14-2009) I'm having my first Radio Frequency Ablation treatment.  Wish me luck!!!  And cheers! fpainestam

Just checking in to see if or how your releif is doing with your RF? My Dr said it might take a couple weeks to take full affect, I hope this isnt your case.

Hi, Everybody, and many thanks for your support.  We did the first procedure yesterday (left side).  Too early to report reliable results.  Clearly some relief, but also some discomfort from the needles.  That ought to go away in a day or so.  I'm back at work, though quite fatigued.  We've scheduled the right side for 1-30-2009.  I'll give you another report in a few days when I will have a better pícture of the effectiveness.  Again, many thanks for your support, and have as good as weekend as possible...fpainestam

How are you feeling?  I just had the Cervical Medial Branch Block on several levels to both sides of my neck.  Nether side showed improvement, which means they didn't work.  I hope this works well for you. :)

That is amazing! I had never heard of RFA - I had to google it to see what you were talking about. I wish you luck and hope it works well for you.

I had my 1st one done in July of 08 and it had it tough moments like I felt like a bee was stinging the back of my neck for weeks but compare to the pain it releived let it sting.
my PM Dr is doing the other side 1-22 and hopefully it will work as well.

Please let us know how the RFA goes. It has been suggested as a possibility for me. I will be very interested in hearing how successful this is for you. My guess is I am not the only one. I'll be thinking of you. Cheers back, Tuck
