Calf Cramps

For the past week my calf has felt like it has a large knot it in (the calf itself has been really tight), I have tried massaging and rolling it out but it won't go away, then yesterday I woke up and had golf ball size bruise right where the pain was before. I know it wasn't from being hit, I play soccer, because the tightness started before soccer started up again. Just wondering if anyone knew if it is anything more than a bruise. I am currently on birth control and have been for over two years and had a cousin develop a blood clot in her leg from birth control.

I would take magnesium and potassium in the morning and calcium and vitamin D at night.

I've found massaging all the areas around the sore spot can be very helpful.  I have a 10-day-old problem with my neck, from handstand pushups I believe, After a few days,  the source of pain traveled down to what I thought was a knot somewhere behind my shoulder blade.  I looked up pinched nerves, and it said commonly a nerve in the neck is what causes the back pain.  I've been massaging my neck and getting better results almost immediately.  Try working all the other muscles around that spot- it may help, it may not
