pain in my leg and backside

11 mths ago I stepped down from a high SUV on to the pavement instead of onto the car running board.  I was ok for two days but have since had varying degrees of pain running down my leg to my butt.  When I get up in the morning it takes me 30-60 min. before I can walk without discomfort.  Had PT and took aleve etc.  Does anyone know of exercises to do? Also someone suggested changing shoes to be sure my feet area getting proper stabliziation.  Sleep is fine.  Thanks for any suggestions.

I completely agree with Blondie, best thing is to get an MRI. I have the same symptoms in my back and I ruptured a disc too. BTW, welcome to the forum.

i had a ruptured herniated disc at L-4L-5 and i had pain down my butt and down my leg. This disc ruptured and herniated 3 times each time with the same terrible pain running through my butt down my leg.i had surgery each time to decompress my sciatic nerve. you may have the same thing. The only way to tell is an MRI. i would encourage you to get an MRI and find out because the pain down your leg will not get better and probably only get worse without decompression of the sciatic nerve.iI wish you well.
