MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
To find a doctor close to your place you can consult your insurance agent or office. There may be others at your workplace or around who have been to a pain management clinic. So, you could ask them. Local pharmacists too could guide you. You could look through the local directory. Check and see if there is a pain support group. Members of this group may be able to help you.
The best way to go about it is to ask your GP to recommend someone. Also, you can ask your orthopedic specialist to recommend someone.Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.

I can't work and didn't really want to take my chances on just scrolling through the phone book and finding just anyone. It is hard nowadays on finding a good doctor who will take the time with you instead of just rushing in and out.

Hi there, If you were to provide more details, we might be able to give you better advice. Its really difficult to know what your looking for, if we don't know your situation. Like for example, what is your pain issues? What meds are you on? Where you previously with a PM doctor? What does your family doctor say, did he/she give you a referral? That sort of thing. Just asking for a good doctor is kind of like asking if there are any good restaurants around.

If your not comfortable sharing more, that's OK too, then I would suggest going online and researching clinics in your area. Many websites will have ratings and reviews by patients that have been there. Good luck to you.
