You have to drink more water, my gosh my chihuahua's drink more than that always have water with you and sip all day long. Add some fresh squeezed lemon that will add flavor and vitamin C, drink coconut water or organic tea. But your muscles and all your organs need water, we are made of mostly water so you must constantly replace it! So good for you and so easy to do! Coffee does not count as it has caffeine and drink non caffeine tea only!

Since I have had so many back problems and surgeries I would almost guess I know exactly what it is sciatica pain caused from your lumbar spine. You might get relief from physical therapy, acupressure, does it hurt but kind of feel good when you press hard on it. Do you notice it more when you are having your monthly menses? Have you ever had your spine checked? Some people find great relief from Chiropractor care, I never did. Those hot and icy patches you buy that goes around your lower back can help relieve your pain. But you need to find out why, do you spend most of your day sitting? Is your chair supporting your lumbar spine, you can purchase small pillows to put on your chair and can also use them in your car. Exercise your core muscles so they are strong and can protect your spine, learn good back habits. Lift from using your legs, don't bend over with your spine curled to ever pick up something. By doing these things it will save you years of chronic back pain or a herniated disc which you don't want. You can look up most all of this on line. Bands are good to use in exercising to strengthen your muscles. See a physical therapist they will help you the most. Good luck I know how awful it can be, so find out what you are doing to exacerbate the problem and then you will be on your way to a healthy back!

If the cramps were from dehydration they would be more widespread throughout your body. It could be sciatica, or a pinched nerve. The only way to find out is to go see your PCP and let him/her know what's going on. If the pain isn't to that point yet then there are some stretches and exercises you can do that should help considerably. The problem is it would be hard to tell you them by simply writing how to do it. I have a sheet that has 3 of the exercises. i can scan it and email it to you. the best way to do that would be to give me your email address, your name, DOB, social security number, etc. I'M KIDDING!  Just send your email via my inbox here on MedHelp. That way everybody won't know your email, etc. I can send that stretch and exercise sheet as soon as you send me your email. It's okay if you don't want to do that. It's no big deal, I understand completely, as I am quite a weirdo you know. if you do send the message and i don't send it right away, it just means I'm offline. I'm only online sporadically, at best. Take care,
