Can a CT miss Pancreatic Cancer?

I have all the symptoms of PC - pain (terrible) through left upper abdomen and back, weight loss, pale floating stools.
Blood work fine, CT scan with contrast showed nothing notable on pancreas (but lots of miscellaneous benign findings elsewhere including fat deposits on liver, and benign cyst on ovary as small as 1CM)

Can this CT scan be wrong?!

The CT scans I had showed something in the pancreas. It took ERCP with biopsy to prove what the shadow was, an adenocarcinoma in the head of the pancreas surrounding the bile duct. I was diagnosed at Stage IB on 14 May 2015.

CT is usually pretty good at detecting pancreatic cancer, but like any imaging test has its limitations. If your symptoms persist, consider MRI/MRCP abdomen with and without contrast, which is more sensitive. Discuss with your doctor :)

It's not that it's wrong but all imaging techniques have limitations. I would try to get your doctors to do a MRI or at least explain why they are comfortable with what data the CT has provided. If they're happy, at least let you know why, they work for you.
