Tumor markers in general are discouraged from being used to screen and/or diagnose cancers. Their main role is to monitor disease progression and/or response to treatment in a patient with known cancer.

The pancreatic cancer marker is 19-9.  Anything over 37 U/ml is considered abnormal.  It is used to evaluate treatment for cancer, but not as a screening.  It can also be elevated with gallstones, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, and cholecystitis.  Do you already have a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer?
