What could be the condition?

My little 6yr old sister may have a medical condition but we don't know what. She can not tell when she is cold, she could be walking home from school with me and be visibly shivering and her hands frozen yet she still could not tell me that she is cold.  When this happens, I always do up the zip on her jacket.

Yes, that is what I mean specialmom. As I said, I get so worried when she shivers that I have to zip her jacket, is that the right thing to do?

Well, some kids with neurological issues do not regulate temperature very well or do not receive appropriate signals from their nervous system that they are cold (or hot).  Is this what you are talking about?  You see this with autism and sensory issues sometimes.
