Help! My 11yr old son seems depressed and won't talk much

I am worried about my 11yr old son.  He is a great kid that gets good grades, but is very sensitive when you yell at him, slow to get ready or do anything and when you ask him what is wrong he really won't talk or says "I don't know".  He has 1 friend that he likes to play with all the time and I try to get him to play with other people.  I am just worried about depression or is this normal for boys.  We are a really close family and I have always told him that we love him with hugs, etc.  I have also told him that he can talk to us about anything and that we are here for him.  Any advice?

Dont yell at him ,that would make  him sensitive ,children dont like to be rushed around, allow more time, if it is in the morning to go to school ,get up earlier so no ne is running around getting het up.All children say 'dont knopw" thats pretty common we hear it every day. This isnt depression, dont feed into any negtives,i he is okay let him make his own frends and dont read  into any situation that isnt there, focus on his positive side and praise him when  he does something right.
