Hello Dr. Irlam,

First of all thank you very much for your answer.
I also had an thyroid USG, thyriod function and antibodies tests.
The functions are okay, but my antibodies results are very high and the appearance of the nodules are bigger and unshapely. So that my doctor thinks I could be thyroid cancer.

Is there any way to learn it is benign or malign before getting an operating?

Thank you.

Hi there,
Hurthle cells are usually a reactive cell type which in themselves have no malignant potential.  These are often seen in fine needle aspiratons of the thyroid and are relatively inconsequential by themselves.  Did you have your thyroid examine?  Any additional information would be appreciated.  As far as I know no gene testing or molecular testing will determine if these are benign/malignant.
Thanks,
John
