Children's Development

My 6 yr old is having problems having a bowl movement and when she does there is alot of blood and tears her rectum. During school I make her eat her lunch in the office so I know she is not throwing her food  out so she can go play. She is a very picky eater and I cannot get her to eat any vegetables and very little fruit, she rarely does anything with sugar.  She will someitimes only go once a week but it is a nightmare everytime we go I give her fiber tablets dailey, sometimes we have to do the miralax prescibed by her doctor and the liquid sapository. Should I take her to a gastro enterologis??? We have been dealing with this for 6 months now.

Stress can cause constipation. Rice can also cause blockage. I would let her stay home if she's not feeling good. She's a bit young to just push through it. You may want to talk to your pediatrician about this and see if they think that you should talk to a dietitian. My daughter who has autism is a very picky eater. I have to trick her into eating veggies and fruit! :)

Has she been tested for Chrons/Colitis?  It sounds like that could be a place to start.  Also look into Ciliac Disease?

Sometimes it helps if you ease the pressure and let her be in control, too much talk and meds can make an issue worse it creates an anxiety about going....Leave it alone for a few days ,let her decide when to go .. .

she does not drink alot of milk, every night she gets a glass of chocolate milk other than that she does not drink it. As far as her fluid intake she only drinks Ice tea and water, I am unable to get her to drink anything else Juices or anything that contains sugar is out of the question. Her breakfast consist of pancakes, waffles, french toast and cherios without milk. lunch consist of PBJ sandwhich or wheat bread with honey and butter on it and on the side I do couple slice meat and a fruit cup. Dinner she is o.k. with steak and chicken only with rice or potatoes I do make her try new things just to keep that door open for if some reason in hopes that she ask for it later. I do not have to worry about candy or sweet things she will open a sucker but she has never finished one let alone get half way through one. and the only fruit other than the fruit cup I can get her to eat is a apple and canalope. Its so frustrating on how close minded they can be. Do you have any advise you can share I know I am not alone on this. I come from a family of 11 we ate everything under the sun born and raised on a ranch and we ate some odd things to gross to mention.
No she does not have autism she is pretty much healthy and active and fluent in 2 languages she is under alot of pressure with school and learning to speak spanish and alomost fluent and working on the chineese/mandrin but she loves it she shows no stress from what I can see and still goes to school when she not feeling good

Is she lactose intolerant? Lactose intolerance can cause constipation or diarrhea. I would cut out milk and replace it with something like Boost Kid Essentials or Pediasure. My daughter loves chocolate Boost! May I also suggest buying V8 Fusion? You are not going to win the battle of forcing your daughter to eat veggies. You just can't force someone to eat something they don't like. I also make a carrot/sweet potato puree and hide it in my daughter's mac n cheese and other pasta dishes. She LOVES it. If that doesn't help I would make a call to the pediatrician. Also, does your daughter have autism?
