Does my 3 year old need glasses?

Okay so my 3 year old had a vision screening by the local Lions organization a week ago. She was flagged as having astigmatism. Which I have no problem with understanding I do too, so does my 5 year old daughter. We had her vision checked today and the doctor said she does have astigmatism. And said tjat we should wait to see if she "outgrows" it. Her OD was sph +2.5 cyl -1.25 axis 180. Her OS was sph +2.25 cyl -1.00 axis 180. Basically she said that was okay given her age. That doesn't make much since to me given her siblings, even the one who wears glasses are already much lower than that. Can anyone shead some light on what is going on.

Well, I guess I'd take a wait and see approach if that is being recommended and be ready to act if anything changes.  Best of luck to you!

Oh, and in reading your post again, I see what you are really asking.  I agree that it sounds odd.  What about another opinion?
