My 3year old pushed a grain of cooked porridge-rice up his nose

Yesterday, my 3 years old son pushed a circular cardboard up his nose. We went to the emergency room and the ENT specialist scoped him, she managed to take out just a bit of the cardboard. She said that the rest of it probably got pushed by the scope down his throat. Today, there’s a grain of rice (porridge texture) outside his nostril. When he tried to remove it, he accidentally pushed it in. Does it warrant another visit to the doctor? His next review with the ENT is 4 days away. Since it’s porridge-like texture, would it be less of a concern?

Also, the ENT prescribed him antibiotics and told us to give him that for a week. But with antibiotics, I wouldn’t know if there’s infection - which is a sign that whatever is in his nose is still there and needs to be removed.

Ah, kids. They are so wacky with the things they do sometimes.  What happened with this?  Most things like this do work themselves out.
