My Baby Bilirubin Level is 21.80 on 8th Day

Hello,

I recently blessed with a baby boy on 20th August and yesterday on 28th, I just took him hospital to check his jaundice as he seemed too sleepy and the bilirubin levels came 21.80 (on 8th day). I don't know at which rate the levels were being rised. The doctor immediately put him under phototherepy.

I read at a lot of places that bilirubin levels above 20 are greater risk of cerebral palsy or brain damage. I'm too concerned about it. Could anybody please tell me about this in a little detail that how late we are in the treatment or he is already at risk of above concerns.

2. Mother Blood group - A+
