constipation!?

My son is 1 month old. For his first two weeks he was on enfamil gentlease but I had to switch to gerber soothe because of Wic. Ever since the switch he's been constipated to the point where he cries unless he's eating. I've tried watering down his formula, applejuice, and gas drops. Nothing is helping what should I do now? I can't take him to the Dr until next Friday

You may have to figure out a way to get extra money to buy what your baby can tolerate.  Family you can ask?

Well, one of those rough things about parenting is that we have to go out of our comfort zone.  I'm hopeful you are not snowed in for a whole week.  That would be unusual that you know that you won't be snowed in next Friday.  Well, whatever the situation is, call your child's doctor and get advice.  If a baby doesn't tolerate a formula, that's the breaks --- WIC or not.  You'll have to change.  good luck

Well we are snowed in so no I can't get in until next week. I don't want to switch his formula back because I have Wic and they only give gerber. Im not interested in breastfeeding

Your child is only a month old.  That is a newborn and I would think that if your baby is having major gastrointenstinal distress and constipation, you could get in sooner than next Friday.  The other option is to borrow some money from family or friends to buy the formula your baby tolerates until your appointment.  Too late to breast feed?  That is a a great option.
