Ovarian cyst with almost 4 inches

Hi, can an ovarian cyst of a little less than 4 inches (10 cm) be removed while saving the ovary? how? laparoscopy is the ideal way? how about laser technique? I was told, from ultrasound, that it is no longer functional but complex (not too much from what I could understand, but still all exames I have must be gathered possibly and see the general picture). I posted a similar topic, about this to all experts I could find here on Medhelp except those who had no posts yet (that I could find) and with others I didn't star a new topic and just posted under the answers/questions/other topics, sorry for that, I'm new here and just found out how to place a new topic.

Thank you for your attention.

Basicaly I should have started by just posting the question on fórum and wait for the all the specialized doctors answers and general public/users, but only found out how to do it after going from doctor to doctor not allways finding the right place to write or post or at all. About the laser procedure does it have advantages compared to laparoscopy in preserving the ovary? when is laparoscopy not advised?

Thank you.

I thought I was asking this question to dr. Lennox because, as explained in my previous post, I still didn't really get how this works and how to ask a question to specific specialized doctors and I found no space to ask the question under dr. Lennox previous posts as I found with others, just answers to questions from other users, but this question is to him, those I asked the same question possibly out of the right space, and those I couldn't find the place to ask the question; all those from ginecology and all specialities related, or family health, also from people going trough the same issue or similar or that have something to say about it (know of similar cases or even larger cysts removed while preserving the ovary, but don't forget if possible to mention the kind of cyst and medical procedure used to remove it) is it really necessary to remove it?
