Portosytemic shunts as a cause of secondary Tmau, and who knows maybe even patm

Saw an article on a case study where 3 out of the 15 guys undergoing a procedure to fix this condition had Tmau. After the procedure 2 of the guys were basically cured and the last guy wasn't only because his condition came back. What it is, is basically where you have a vein that bypasses the liver so the tma never gets absorbed and transformed by the liver. It goes directly into the bloodstream. This can be huge for some of us guys. If this is what some of us have? It's essentially a cure. Not sure how dangerous or costly the surgery is, but it's worth investigating. Of course diagnosis of both conditions should be done. The portosytemic shunts and TMAU.
