deformity

hi there, i only smile on left side of my face as the muscles on my right side dont work. i have full feeling on that side, i cant twitch up that side of my nose, my right eye waters sometimes and i cant close that eye properly-not that i really notice. i am now 29 and have learnt to live it as i was born like this, it doesnt really bother me only when i smile at a stranger and they look at me as if i am pulling faces!!! ha. i am writing this to find out if you know anyone in this world that has the same thing as me as i havent seen anyone else like me-- ever, except from stroke or cerable pausy.
i often wonder and now that i have signed onto this med help i thought id ask yous. or is there even a name for it?
didnt know what category to put it under!!!

thank you for answering and sorry about the delay!!! i have spoken to my mum and she was told that it happened during delivery, my 7th nerve got damaged. and my toes were touching my legs and my hands were all crippled and had to be massaged alot. mum tried masaging my face incase that would work to. my hands and feet are normal, nonoe would ever know.my feet and ankles get very sore from work but i think thats just the norm, as for doctors... they asked me what happened, say theyve never seen it and ask if its a form of cerebal palsy.another thing is if i dont smile youd never know where those who have cerebal palsy you notice straight away. i do have a dr who wants to try accupuncture, but now being 29 ive grown withit all thewse years i think even if i won lotto i wouldnt change my face, id just like to know why im like this and if theres anyone else out there with a smile-face like me!
thankyou for your time.

Do you know if you had a stroke while in the womb? Sometimes that can happen. I know a lady who has a son with this(suffered a stroke while in the womb at 8 months gestation), he is 3 years old now. If you didn't have one while being formed, then it would probably be categorized as a type of cerebral palsy. There are a few different forms of it. Have you talked to a doctor about it? It's hard to say from the limited information.
