My 5 month wakes up every 2 hours at night

I am wondering if any of you are having the same issue as me. My daughter wakes up every two hours at night. She does not eat, nor does she cry she just wants to be on my breast as a pacifier. Help any suggestions!

I used to bring kaylee to bed with us when she woke up and settle her in bed early on and move her later. Bad habit I'm now trying to break.

Co-sleeping is great for breastfeeding, I can tell right away if they are wet or too hot, too cold and I can do it in a matter of minutes without interrupting my sleep too much.

lol I certainly love when they get to that point where they sleep 6 hrs straight.  But yes usually with breastfeeding they wake up every 2 to 3 hrs to feed.  This is one of the reasons why we co-sleep, so I can just be right there and breastfeed them and usually we both fall back to sleep.  Or I keep diapers close by, change them, then feed them and get them back to sleep.  I'll be doing the same thing here in a few more months lol

Have you tried a pacifier with her? I got sick of my son doing it so I would realize he was just suckling and then sneak the pacifier in his mouth and it was all good. LOL
I think the 5 hour stretch is a good beginning...hopefully she keeps it up! Good luck!

Kathy421,
LOL I've tried to break all of her habits but it seems that she gets new ones all of the time.

lil_lady25,
I wish you well. Your daughters are beautiful and perhaps you will be one of the lucky ones!

Update she has been sleeping for 5 straight hours Yayyy! After her bath, I feed her and she is asleep by 9pm then she wakes up at 2am, here comes the bad part, I pick her up from her crib and bring her to bed with me. I know its bad but I have to go to work and she seema to fall right back to sleep for at least 3 more hours.

My 7 week old twin girls are up every 3 hours all day and night so I feel for you. They cry, I change them, feed them, and they are back to sleep. I can't wait until they start sleeping for more than 3 hours at a time!

I can sympathize with what you are going thru.

My son is one month old and won't sleep at night unless he is on my breast (I believe he also uses this as a pacifier).  Even after he wakes up to feed (we use a bottle and I pump since I don't produce enough milk), he will only fall back to sleep if he is on my breast.

Throughout the day, he is able to sleep on his own.

I am trying to break him of this habit since it cuts down on my sleep!
