for already mommies

I had my little girl 9 days ago and am so ready to get back to my normal size. Ive been losing a lot of weight already from breast feeding. I have a 3rd degree tear so still healing down there. I was wondering when I could start exercising to speed up the progress?

I think all us moms can understand how you want to get back to "normal" but remember it took 9 1/2 months to gain so be kind to yourself while trying to lose. Also it takes 4-6 weeks for your uterus to fully return to normal so that's part of why your stomach may still be there. Like the other ladies said walking is a safe exercise plus you can bring baby with :)

I don't think you can do intense exercises, but walking and light jogging (if you did it pre-pregnancy) around 2wks.. and you should be fine to do lunges & planks around 3wks.. if it starts hurting just stop! I don't think you need to wait until 6wks if you feel good. Trust your body.

My son is five weeks today and i did lose 15lbs from breastfeeding and my little walks. Im waiting until my 6week check up then im going to get back in my gym room (probably really dusty in there now lol) i still have light bleeding so im not sure if i should just wait....but i feel great. I had a second degree tear but i feel like im on top of the game

My son is 10 months and I'm expecting again. My advice is going on walks with baby and also trying to get back to clean eating. I was back quickly but you just have to try your best to realize its been just over a week and as the baby gets older the busier you'll become because they sleep less! Good luck I'm sure you're beautiful no matter what(:

I was hoping for sooner I gained 50 pounds during pregnancy and usually weigh 110 so I'm so ready to be back there. Breastfeeding is helping out but not enough lol

After you get the okay from your doctor at your 6 week appointment. That is what I was told. My daughter is 5 weeks old so I'm hoping I can start soon.
